What about... Jumpsuits

 I think the last time i wore an overall  i was 14 years old. I still can remember that beautiful white jumpsuit i stole from my mom, it had wide legs and gingham spaguetti straps, i felt in heaven when i was wearing it, and i also have nice memories of that pretty floral romper that my mum bought me :) But i've never picked one by my own 'cos i was thinking all this time they weren't right for me being as petite as i am. But lately i've learned that if you're in the search for the perfect fit, then you must visit a tailor. So it has been getting harder and harder to find an excuse for not to wear a jumpsuit. I mean, isn't it a wardrobe staple for a lazy girl like me? All i have to do is bottom up and go!

I wish a could wear this outfit tonight for a date with my hubby, but having a child made my night life comes to an end. So i'll be on pajamas at 9 pm instead ;)

Since i knew the name of this beautiful girl, i've been searching for every picture and piece of information abut her. Pics, of course, i've found a lot, these ones of just some of my faves. Info, not so much. I know she is a former model and now assistant to Camille Bidault Waddington. She grew up on Swiss mountains, and it's clear that it had a big influence in her. You can see in the way she mix colors and patterns that she's a free spirit. I love how her style has evolved but never left that naive feeling.

Punk: Chaos to Couture

While we wait for the Met exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture, on view from May 9, we can shock our eyes with the exclusive punk collection at Moda Operandi. As sponsor of the Met Gala, the online ultra luxury retailer has teamed up with different designers, from Vivianne Westwood to Prabal Gurung, in celebration of the anarchist exhibition. Organized by The Costume Institute, the museum will show 100 designs from original punk garments to recent haute couture, to illustrate how the movement’s birth in the 1970s has impacted on high fashion. Four galleries will be dedicated to Do-it-yourself, punk’s enduring contribution to fashion, focusing on couture’s use of studs, safety pins and razor blades.

A tied issue

So it seems that the T.A.T.W.* trend it's not going to end very soon. From Rihanna to Lana, from Leandra to Kanye, everybody fell in this kind of nostalgic revival. You can see in these pics from the last MBFWA that the shirt must be plaid for the ultimate grunge feeling. I wasn't a cool kid in the late '90s, but i could give it a try now, right? But i have my doubts, what's the proper knot for this? wouldn't the shirt slip through my hips while i'm walking? must the shirt be buttoned before i tie it or not? Oh no, so many questions, i need a '90s expert!
